From our private collection of vintage automobiles, my wife and I have decided to sell one of our all time favorite cars; our 1970 Corvette Convertible L46, with #s matching 350CI-350HP, 4-speed, and code correct paint and trim in spectacular Mulsanne Blue with Blue interior. The only reason for this decision is that our family has grown over the past 10 years, so we are selling our smaller Roadsters and sticking to the larger vintage cars in order to accommodate the entire family on cruise nights. A total of 17,316 Corvettes were produced in 1970, but only 6,646 were Convertibles. This L46 was ordered from the factory in rare Mulsanne Blue paint with Blue interior and a White convertible top (no hard top). It continues to have its' factory born colors (repainted and gorgeous), #s Matching 350ci/350hp, and 4 speed transmission. See additional photos of the exterior, interior, underside, and engine compartment, along with Vin #s, Block Stamps, Trim Codes and Transmission #s. Adult owned and babied; a previous owner had this car on the west coast from 1980's through 2013, then Virginia and Georgia where it lives today in our climate controlled garage. Always maintained, it's never given us one problem starting, driving, running cool and stopping on a dime. It's an extremely solid Corvette inside and out, and drives beautifully. Great dependable car for cruise nights that will surely take home awards! Power windows, power steering, gauges, lights, blinkers, wipers, and horn all seem to work properly (for a 46 year old car). Luggage rack. + RARE matching 3 piece blue vintage luggage set from 1970. The matching luggage set is in near perfect condition inside and out, and even includes the original box stating Ventura luggage, along with the vintage Chevy luggage tags. These items are included with the purchase of the car. I will also include the black leather luggage straps (not shown in pics as I left them in the large suitcase in the box). Even has its original AM/FM radio, and all the gauges work except the odometer - which shows around 40K miles. If you get behind the wheel for a test drive, I think you'll agree it's one of the smoothest and best handing corvettes you'll ever drive. A true time capsule that is extremely dependable and drives like it should! Title in hand. Hagerty's values this car at $54,000 in #2 condition, and NADA values this car at $61,000 for average retail, and remember that both valuations have always increased year-over-year in the past 10 years. Condition of the glass; I can't find any chips/cracks and it looks to be the original (Astro Ventilation). The power windows work fine but I did notice that the passenger's window goes up a little faster than the driver's window. I also just realized title states 41,464 miles but the odometer reads 40,164 - which I think was a simple dyslexia typo when I titled the car. The convertible top is in good condition, no rips/cracks in the vinyl, and it works flawlessly with no visible cracks in the rear window. BiN $35,900. May 17, 2016. |
